Description
The chibuku, or ceremonial corn beer, is traditionally brewed by the elders in large gourds for rituals to enhance the spiritual connection to the ancestors, or midzimu. The tribal elder, who is revered for his wisdom, knowledge and patience, frequently calls on his ancestors for guidance. Only the revered elders may partake of the sacred chibuku ceremony.©
