Spirits In Stone, Northern California has launched a new gallery jewelry venture that debuts as 'Spirit of Pearl'. The venture will operate under the trade name SPIRIT OF PEARL and under the umbrella of their present galleries and focus exclusively on natural colors of cultured pearls and pearl jewelry.
We believe there is an important opportunity to present pearls and pearl jewelry in an innovative, exciting new gallery format," Ellen Kilbourne, SIS jewelry curator, said in a statement. "Through 'Spirit of Pearl', we hope to establish an educational forum and offer the most unusual and exotic pearls that most people never see."

The sea's diversity and constantness offers infinite inspiration. Our desire to create and, in turn, inspire others, to offer something new through inventive design and goldsmithing competence, in our constant tribute to the pearl.
Our jewelry is the language of clear, minimalist shapes - with great attention to detail! Rings, necklaces and ear jewelry are the forms of jewelry we prefer in our artistic creativity. Our pieces of jewelry are reminiscent of small 'built' sculptures. With our rings, the stones and settings become clear design elements independent of each other, and often complete model series develop out of that. Gemstones, pearls or Japanese lacquer are not merely colorful accents, but constitute the crucial starting point for the design of the pieces.

Zobel, born in Tangier, Algeria, brings his organic primitive strength from his African beginnings. Those influences combined with his schooling at the Arts & Crafts in Pforzheim gave him an opportunity to work with jewelry designer Henry Denys in Paris. Now having been awarded the top international jewelry contemporary designer, Zobel celebrates the pearl in his new works.
