Restoration

In the unfortunate event that your Shona sculpture has been damaged, rest assured that we can restore almost any work to beautiful condition. Scratches and nicks can usually be repaired at little expense. The Zimbabwe Sculpture Project has one of the most experienced restoration teams in the world, and is even capable of reconstructing sculpture that has been severely damaged.

The restoration department is also skilled in preventative measures. As some of the artworks are elegantly carved with slim bases, we can mount your sculpture to a custom base or pedestal to minimize risk of damage.

Shipping

The Spirits in Stone Project has been pioneering custom sculpture packaging solutions for over 10 years. We've tried everything and we know what works best to get your sculpture to you safely. Most large sculptures are packaged using a precisely controlled high tech flow foam system providing each sculpture with it's own unique shipping and storage solution that can be reused for that piece in the future. Boxes are tracked in a computerized tracking system which allows us to check on the progress of your shipment as it makes it's way to you. Some boxes are even protected by a special g-force detection system and of course all shipments are fully insured.
